10 years of cooperation with AbbVie

On September 6, 2024, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our very fruitful industrial collaboration with AbbVie Ludwigshafen. Our joint research focuses on the stability and dissolution behavior of pharmaceutical formulations, especially amorphous solid dispersions (ASDs).

In three PhD projects funded by AbbVie, we investigated the thermodynamic stability of ASDs under storage conditions (Kristin Lehmkemper), the solvent selection for ASD production (Stefanie Dohrn) and the dissolution behavior of ASDs (Adrian Krummnow).

The current fourth project deals with the influence of surfactants on the stability and dissolution behavior of ASDs (Ineke Fahrig, in the center of the picture).

We are grateful for the ongoing support and the opportunity to combine thermodynamic research and industrial applications.
